As part of The Imagine Arts Festival, this afternoon saw an array of talent for the Secular Sunday Service. WLR Fm were broadcasting live from the event with thanks to Creative Ireland.

Today’s event saw a number of local poets, including Doireann Ni Ghriofa, Sinead Gleeson, Rob Doyle, Sarah Clancy as well as Mark Roper, Edward Denniston and Frank Farrelly, share their work as part of the Waterford Writer’s Weekend.

The poetry was interwoven with live classical music by Waterford musicians curated by Cathy Desmond and featured Piano, Oboe, Guitar and Violin.

Event curator Rick O’Shea says there’s still more to come throughout the afternoon, including a first-time writers panel and a seminar with author Liz Nugent.
