Water supply is returning to customers in Tramore and Butlerstown following the completion of repair works earlier today.

Repairs works in Tramore have been completed following disruptions to water supply earlier today.

The maintenance was carried out in order to address a burst pipe in the Crobally area.

Three schools in the area had to close their doors for the day as a result of the disruption.

Holy Cross School, Glór na Mara Primary School and Ard Scoil na Mara were unable to opens their doors due to the outage

Water supply has since returned with a spokesperson for Uisce Éireann, Water Operations Manager Maura Phelan thanked affected customers for their cooperation throughout the outage.

She then went on to acknowledge the inconvenience caused by the interruption to the water supply and sincerely thanked customers for their patience and cooperation while essential repair works was carried out.

Normal water supply is expected to return within hours, with customers advised that there may be some temporary discolouration, and to run their taps until their water runs clear.
