Water supply has begun returning to homes and businesses in Tramore and surrounding areas after repair crews completed work on a major burst earlier today.
Uisce Éireann confirmed that teams worked throughout the day to fix the damaged watermain and minimise disruption.
The utility thanked customers for their patience during the unplanned outage, noting that full supply typically returns within two to three hours after repairs are completed.
Properties located at the end of the network may experience a longer delay as the system refills.
As water returns, some customers may notice temporary discolouration. Uisce Éireann advises running taps until the water runs clear.
The organisation continues to provide updates across multiple channels, including its 24/7 customer care line and its X account, @IWCare.
Further information is also available in the water supply and services section of its website.
Vulnerable customers registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct notifications during outages lasting more than four hours.
All customers can sign up for free text alerts to receive real‑time updates on local water issues by registering their Eircode and mobile number at water.ie .
