Irish Water is dealing with a burst water main on the East Waterford supply scheme.

It is affecting up to 100 customers in the Killea Dunmore East area.

Irish Water, working in partnership with Waterford City and County Council, say a crew is carrying out repair works as quickly and safely as possible and supply should be restored to  the affected area around 4pm.

An earlier unplanned outage affecting homes in the city area is being resolved.

Works at Tycor Reservoir affected the supply but water should be restored in all areas by lunchtime.

People are advised to contact Irish Water if further outages occur.
