An Garda Síochána, along with some emergency services, made a quick pit stop to sing a very special happy birthday to one 10-year-old today.
Crews from Cork, Kerry, and Limerick took time out of their busy day, policing government restrictions to drive past Little Blue Hero, Rian Stack's house, sirens blaring.
They then all gathered, adhering to social distancing requirements, and sung him a happy birthday outside his house.
His classmates from St. Luke's also held a virtual birthday party for him, while the surprise took place.
Posting a video of the moment on their Facebook page, Cork City Fire Brigade wrote: "As soon as COVID 19 is over we will be back for some birthday cake Rian, have a great day!"
The Little Blue Heroes Foundation is a Garda non-for profit organisation that helps families in Ireland who have children with serious illness.
Facebook users also took to the comment section to send Rian many more wishes.
"Happy birthday Rian and well-done cork Gardaí and Cork City Fire Brigade. Times like this everyone supports one another." one wrote.
While another wished Rian a happy birthday from all at the Defence Forces.
Happy Birthday, Rian.
