Artists hailing from America, Poland and France have arrived in Waterford for this year's Waterford Walls festival.

Now in its third year, it will see 40 walls around Waterford city centre become a canvass this weekend.

Most of the work is taking place in the O'Connell Street and New Street Gardens areas, with two other pieces commissioned for the Greenway.

Louise Flynn, curator of Waterford Walls says there's lots of excitement in the city, and lots of activities happening including live music, art tours and workshops.

Stencil artist Iljin, who has been involved for the past three years, says there is a family-like atmosphere to the Walls team at this stage.

Business manager for Waterford Walls is Lisa Fitzgerald - she says they're still walls available for sponsorship.
