The sunny South East is living up to its name this weekend with temperatures set to reach highs of 23 degrees.
The forecast is for cooler temperatures at the coast however a spike in visitors to the likes of Dunmore East, Tramore, Bonmahon, Clonea and Ardmore is expected.
Irish Water Safety is warning people heading to the coast that sea temperatures are about half of what the air temperature is.
Chairperson of Irish Water Safety Waterford Lola O'Sullivan says it's important to stay safe in the water this weekend
She says the water is around 10 degrees
"There would be a concern that if people decide to go swimming that they may suffer from cold water shock."
Lola O'Sullivan added that "there are no lifeguards on duty".
"We are not in the bathing season, so the councils do not have lifeguards on duty."
