Nine people with Covid-19 receiving treatment in University Hospital Waterford

University Hospital Waterford is among the facilities with the most vacant beds.

HSE figures show that there's currently 187 vacant beds at UHW.

St James's and the Mater Hospital in Dublin top the list with in excess of 200 beds each.

As of 8pm last night, there were 9 confirmed cases of Covid-19 on site at University Hospital Waterford, and a additional 13 suspected cases were awaiting results.

There was just one person in the Critical Care Unit at UHW with the virus.

There are 101 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Waterford city and county, as of midnight on Tuesday.
