Two Waterford projects compete at BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition

Waterford is represented by two projects at this year's BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition which gets underway at the RDS in Dublin today.

Students from across the country will participate, with nearly half of all secondary schools submitting a project to the annual science fair.

There are two Waterford projects listed:

  • Dungarvan CBS - Spoiler Alert: pH Responsive Packaging for Food Preservation' in the Chemical, Physical & Mathematical category (Individual)
  • Blackwater Community School  - 'Where is the Truth: The Effects of Media Propaganda on Young People' in the Social & Behavioural Sciences category (Individual)

Five students, including the overall winner of the 2025 exhibition, will be awarded a trip to the World Expo in Japan this July.
