Two teenagers sought in relation to theft from strawberry seller in Ferrybank

Gardaí in Waterford are appealing for witnesses to a theft of cash from a strawberry seller in Ferrybank last Friday.

At approximately 4.45pm at Marymount in Ferrybank, just by the Grotto on Ross Road a strawberry seller had a sum of money stolen from her.

Theft of Cash

It's understood two young males approached the stand and enquired as to the price of a punnet of strawberries.

When the vendor turned to get a bag to put the strawberries in, the two males took the cash tray which was on the counter.

Gardaí in Ferrybank are looking for any dashcam footage that may assist with the investigation or any witness who may have observed two males running from the stand towards the church in Ferrybank.

This was a busy time on Friday afternoon with commuter traffic passing this location.

Description of the Suspects

"1st Male had light blonde hair, wearing a black wind breaker jacket and was of medium height and build.

2nd Male had brown hair and was wearing a black hoody and grey pants."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact their local Garda Station.
