Gardai in Tramore are investigating after two teenage boys were assaulted last night.

It happened shortly after 9.00pm at Convent Hill.

Both teenagers received facial injuries in the incident and were brought to University Hospital Waterford for treatment.

Their injuries are not believed to be serious.

A man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the incident and Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
