Two landmark Waterford pubs are to be put on the market for sale.

Selling agents Sherry Fitzgerald John Rohan confirmed to WLR that The Kazbar and Davy Macs are to be put on the market.

The Kazbar is located on John’s Street, and Davy Macs is located around the corner on John’s Avenue.

In the Dunphy family since 2004, John says the businesses continue to thrive within Waterford.

“There is sadness for the family, but they are pursuing other interests, and turnover is excellent.”

The price is to set at €2.4 million for both properties.

The two landmark Waterford pubs are to be sold as a going concern.

This is with a belief that there is a clear opportunity for new life to be breathed into the businesses.

Speaking with WLR, John Rohan said there is no intention to turn the properties into apartments or residences.

Instead, he said, there is a clear opportunity for interested parties to elevate the businesses to a new level.

“We feel that it will be taken on as is, with the return to food an option for a new owner going forward.”
