Two businesses in Waterford City were burgled in the early hours of this morning.
At 2.20am A number of males arrived at the Centra Shop in Farran Park.
They forced the shutter open, smashed a window to gain entry and stole a quantity of alcohol.
Between 3.45am and 4am the front shutter at the Cleaboy Pharmacy was pulled open
and the panel in the glass front door was smashed.
A safe and small amount of cash was taken.
Early this morning Gardai spotted a car in the Mount Suir area, four people fled from the vehicle and the majority of the property stolen in the burglaries was recovered .
A follow up investigation by Waterford gardai is underway.
