
Warm tributes have been paid to former Waterford City Mayor Tom Cullen who died this week.
Mr Cullen of Adelphi Quay and Killure Bridge Nursing Home, Waterford, died on Tuesday 25th March.
He was predeceased by his wife Josie, and his brothers Bob and Frank, and is survived by his sons Martin and Paul and daughter Inez.
His death notice reads that he “will be sadly missed by his sisters Helen and Stasia, daughters-in-law Katie and Kathy, son-in-law Anthony. Dorthe, grandchildren Lara, Thomas, Karsten, Kate, Emily, Lisa, Maikki, Christian, Alex, Paul, Gracie and their partners Deirdre, Aodihan, Andrew, Tommy, Megan, Kieran and Henry, great grandchildren Chloe, Noah, Oliver, Juno, Robin, Lottie and Barra, brothers-in-law Terry and Arthur, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.”
Reposal takes place this evening (Friday) at Tom Hennessy’s Funeral Home, 45A Johnstown, Waterford until 7pm.
Requiem Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Church, Ballygunner, Waterford on Saturday at 12.00 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
