The Waterford business community is mourning the passing of Kathleen Fitzgerald, a highly respected businesswoman and director of Georges Court Shopping Centre, along with a number of other business interests in the city.

Kathleen made an outstanding contribution to business and civic life in Waterford over many years. She served as a Director of Waterford Chamber from 2000 to 2014 and was President of Waterford Chamber from 2006 to 2007, a role in which she led with distinction. In 2011, she also made history as the first female President of the Rotary Club of Waterford, reflecting her strong leadership, dedication, and commitment to service.

She will be fondly remembered for her professionalism, generosity, and the lasting impact she made across Waterford’s business community. Deep sympathy is extended to Kathleen’s family at this difficult time. May she rest in peace.
