Planning permission which had been sought for nine homes in Tramore has been refused by Waterford City and County Council.
Applicant John Ronan had sought permission to construct one 2-bedroom detached bungalow, four 3-bedroom semi-detached houses and 4 3-bedroom 2-storey terraced houses on the Old Crobally Road in Riverstown, Tramore, County Waterford.
The application was submitted on January 10th of this year but was rejected by the local authority this week.
A number of local residents in the area had submitted objections to the development.
Reasons outlined by residents included a lack of parking, invasion of privacy, change to sightlines and a potential devaluation of existing properties.
The applicant will have a right to appeal the decision.
