Waterford Council has advised that there is a high risk of overflows from the sewer network in Tramore.

This is because of the heavy rain overnight and disruptions to the electricity supply which may have a negative impact on bathing water quality.

Swimmers are asked to proceed with caution and to consult notices before bathing.
