3 young people have been killed this morning in a fatal road traffic collision near Ballon, Co. Carlow.
Two males, aged 21 and 25, and a female passenger in the car aged 19 were involved in the collision shortly after midnight.
A male, aged 22, who was a passenger in the car has been transferred to hospital in Kilkenny for treatment of serious injuries.
It's understood all four people were from the local area.

The N80 will remain closed for a number of hours this morning and motorists are advised to take alternative routes.
