A person had their phone snatched from their hand by a thief in Waterford City recently.
It happened on Saturday on Catherine Street when a man approached them.
Speaking on this week's Waterford Garda Watch, Garda Iain O'Byrne gave the details.
The robbery happened at roughly 3:45pm and the thief had asked to use the phone.

He was wearing a black puffer jacket, black jumper, and grey bottoms
"Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Waterford Gardaí on 051 305 300," Garda O'Byrne said.
