Gardaí and emergency services responded to a fatal single-vehicle road traffic collision in Kilmoyler, Cahir, Co. Tipperary, on the night of Thursday, 25th April 2025.

Shortly after 10 pm, a car left the road at Kilaldry Bridge and entered the River Aherlow.

The driver, a teenage girl and sole occupant of the vehicle, was fatally injured. Her body was recovered this morning by the Garda Water Unit and taken to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination.

The L3101 remains closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a technical examination of the scene. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been in the area between 10 pm and midnight. Road users with dash-cam or other camera footage are urged to come forward.
