Gardaí have seized suspected cannabis and cannabis products during an operation in Waterford City. The search took place at a premises on John Street on Monday, February 9th, as part of an ongoing Garda investigation. Officers carried out the search under warrant and recovered a quantity of suspected cannabis during the operation.

Cannabis-Infused Vapes Among Items Seized

Gardaí also seized suspected cannabis-infused vapes during the search. Investigators will now submit all seized items to Forensic Science Ireland for detailed analysis. The results of those examinations will form part of the ongoing investigation.

Man Arrested and Released Without Charge

Gardaí arrested a man in his 20s at the scene. They detained him under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. Gardaí have since released the man without charge.

File to Be Sent to Director of Public Prosecutions

Gardaí will prepare a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions. The DPP will review the case and decide on any further action. Gardaí have confirmed that investigations remain ongoing.
