Waterford had the lowest number of compensation claims of any county in Ireland following Storm Eowyn.
Figures provided by the Department of Social Protection show that there have been over 93 thousand claims nationwide for the Humanitarian Assistance Scheme.
Of the 93 thousand claims nationwide, just 12 came from Waterford – the lowest number in Ireland.
Over half of the claims came from counties Galway and Mayo alone.
Almost 800 thousand homes were left without power as a result of the storm in January, including 2,000 in Waterford.
Almost 13 million euro has been paid out in respect of 52 and a half thousand successful claims while 22 thousand people have not been awarded payment.
