Strong winds are expected across four counties which come under a yellow weather alert for wind today.

The warning comes into effect for Waterford, Wexford, Wicklow and Dublin from 11 o’clock this morning.

Met Éireann says objects could become loose, power lines affected and travelling conditions will be difficult in the gusty conditions which are set to last until 5 o’clock this evening.
