A status yellow low temperature warning has been issued for 19 counties.
It affects Munster, Ulster, Connacht and west Leinster.
The warning begins at 8pm on Tuesday and runs until 11am on Wednesday.
Met Éireann said minimum temperatures will be around -3 degrees with sharp to severe frost forming.
For Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, Met Éireann has issued a status yellow low temperature/ice warning.
This will be in place for Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Munster, Connacht, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath.
This warning will come into place at 8pm this evening, lasting until 11am on Wednesday.
