Met Eireann has upgraded its weather warnings ahead of the arrival of Storm Barra, with Waterford now among the counties included in the Status Orange category for wind.
The Status Orange warning for Waterford is in place from 6am tomorrow (Tuesday) until 6am Wednesday morning. Included in the warning along with Waterford are Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Galway, Mayo and Wexford.
In addition Status Red wind warnings have now been issued for Cork and Kerry from the shorter time period of 6am Tuesday until 9pm Tuesday.
There is also an Orange warning for the counties of Dublin, Louth, Wicklow and East Meath for the shorter time period of 6am Tuesday to 1pm Tuesday.
A Status Yellow Wind and Rain warning is in place for the entire country from 2am Tuesday to 6pm Wednesday.
There's also a Status Red marine warning from Roche's Point to Valentia to Erris Head.
