A couple who recently established Red ‘n’ Blue Theatre Company in West Waterford got a standing ovation from the audience for their first play at Garter Lane
last night.

“Lovesong” by Abi Morgan got underway last night and will run for the next two nights at the Waterford City venue..

Married duo Jenny Fennessy and Dylan Kennedy perform on stage alongside Sean Ahern and Mary Flavin Colbert.

The play features a younger couple in their twenties and thirties and the same couple in their sixties and seventies.

The story goes back and forth between the two couples and you see how their hopes and dreams have developed.
