There is a potential for snowfall in parts of Waterford tonight as a cold airmass sweeps over the county.
Waterford City & County Council have issued a moderate advisory warning from 8pm tonight until 9am tomorrow morning.
A mix of rain, sleet and snow will clear south over the country this evening and early tonight (Monday night) with a cold airmass following from the north.
Ice is expected to form in some areas which may lead to treacherous travelling conditions overnight and into Tuesday morning.
Motorists are being advised to take caution. Temperatures are expected to drop to -1 overnight.
