There was a slight increase in the live register in Waterford last month.

According to the CSO 7 thousand and 47 people were signing on in the City and County at the end of December.

That’s an increase of 82 when compared to November.

However the figure is 13% lower than December of 2017 when 8 thousand 100 people were signing on.

The Packaging Hub, which employed 25 people at its plant in Tycor, ceased trading in December.
