There was a slight increase in the numbers of people signing on in Waterford in January.

The live register in the City and County stands at 7,125.

That’s an increase of 78 when compared to the end of December.

However, the figure is 12.5% per cent lower than January of 2018 when 8,145 perople were signing on.

The live register locally peaked at 15,614 in July of 2010.
