Significant flooding has been reported in areas of Waterford this morning.
Drivers are being urged to take extra care after heavy rain and thunderstorms overnight.
An Orange warning that had been in effect for Waterford since 11 o'clock last night has now come to an end but there are reports of some flooding locally which has led to road closures.
The N72 is closed from Rockfield Junction to Cappagh
Military Road, also on the N72, is closed from Ballyneety Cross to Master McGrath Monument
The road to Clashmore at Whitechurch is closed.
And there's significant flooding on the Clonmel Road at Kilmanahan, where the road is also closed.
Speaking to WLR News this morning, Michael Kelly from Waterford Weather says the weekend's weather doesn't look set to be any better:
"It's a very unsettled picture coming in. There's no sign of any settled weather really.
"We've had quite a wet October with 139 mm now recorded at my station, which is well above the average for the month.
"And it looks like that trend is going to continue over the weekend.
"There will be some dry periods but in general we're in for more wet and windy weather."
