Section of busy N25 will see a decreased speed limit

The speed limit is set to decrease on part of the the N25 between Luffany and Glenmore from next week.
This section of the road will be decreased from 100 kilometres per hour to 80 kilometres.
Councillor Fidelis Doherty of Kilkenny County Council, who has been campaigning for this change, explained that it will save lives:
“It’s about keeping people safe and it’s about drivers being mindful that it is now 80 kilometres an hour and to take heed of it.
“Speed is a big contributing factor to accidents and incidents and unfortunately fatalities.”
