Search operation resumes off Waterford coast for missing man
The Coast Guard Coordination centre in Dublin resumed the search this morning for the missing man who went overboard from a UK registered yacht late on Saturday night.
The vessel was 30 kilometres south of Dunmore East when the alert was raised, and a second person on board was brought safely to shore.
It’s understood to have been travelling from Brighton to Swansea, via Cornwall.
The Coast Guard helicopter R117 and Kilmore Quay lifeboat are conducting the search into the afternoon and the Coast Guard will continue to liaise with An Garda Siochana for the remaining phase of the search.
