Following the discovery of a body in Waterford on Thursday March 7th, the missing person appeal for Michal Piotrowski has been stood down.
Mr Piotrowski (69) had been missing since 19th December 2023. He was last seen at 11.40am that day on the Dunmore Road after leaving University Hospital Waterford (UHW).
He had lived in New Ross for the past 19 years.
His family had made many appeals for information since his disappearance, including a high-profile appearance on RTÉ's 'Crimecall' in January.

An Garda Síochána have thanked the media and the public for their assistance.
