A multi-agency search operation is underway for a kayaker reported missing off the Waterford coast.
At approximately 11.40am this morning, a kayaker left the Helvick Head area of An Rinn in Dungarvan. The alarm was raised when the kayaker did not return to shore as expected.
At approximately 5.30pm this evening, The Irish Coast Guard was tasked to the call and a search process began.
Searches were focused in the Clonea area of the coastline this afternoon.

The search remains ongoing with assistance from LÉ Aoibhin, Helvick Lifeboat, Rescue 117, Bonmahon Coast Guard, and the Ardmore Coast Guard Unit.
Units stood down this evening, due to resume at 6am tomorrow morning.
