UPDATE: Santa Mary Thambi has now been found. No further assistance is required. 

A multi-agency search operation including Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue 117 is underway in Waterford this evening, as the public are asked for their assistance in tracing the whereabouts of missing 20-year-old Santa Mary Thambi.

Ms. Thambi went for a walk at 6.15am this morning near Bracken Grove on the Old Tramore Road in Waterford City but has since failed to return.

She was last seen wearing a grey jacket and black sweatpants and is approximately 5’2 in height.

Anyone with any information or anyone who may have dash cam footage from the time are requested to contact Gardaí.

Gardaí and Santa Mary’s family are concerned for her wellbeing.
