Ryanair CEO says Waterford Airport ‘will never be a commercial proposition’

The head of Ryanair says Waterford Airport will never be a commercial proposition.
Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary says other airports are more accessible to the majority of the country.
Speaking on Newstalk this morning he said, Dublin is “much more accessible to the vast majority of the population”.
“God be with them, there’s a load of people in Waterford determined to reopen an airport in Waterford – Waterford will never be a commercial proposition because it is within the two hour catchment of Dublin Airport and Cork Airport.”
His comments come in the week in which the 40th anniversary of Ryanair’s flight from Waterford to London Gatwick was marked.
