Majority of routes now open following Waterford flooding

Flood waters have receded in Waterford city and county, with Waterford City and County Council ground crews currently engaged in inspections and clean-up operations.

The majority of routes are now open and passable, with the exception of L4076-41 Fairybush to Woodstown, which remains closed.

There remains a considerable amount of debris, grit and spot flooding on some local roads. Waterford City and County Council is advising motorists to reduce speed and exercise caution.

Waterford City and County Council engineers are currently assessing damage to the road, pavement and bridge infrastructure and drainage systems.
