Richard Satchwell has been found guilty of the murder of Tina Satchwell.

The body of the 46-year-old was discovered under the stairs of the home she shared with her husband on Grattan Street, Youghal in county Cork in October 2023.

58-year-old Richard Satchwell denied the charge of murder, and said his wife died in a struggle after attacking him with a chisel in March 2017.

The jury of seven women and five men returned the verdict after nine hours and twenty-eight minutes of deliberations.
