The new 360 and 360A Bus Eireann route has been implemented in full.
Temporary bus stop signs has been installed along the new route.
Significant changes have been introduced as a result of the changes- The 360 bus will now enter Tramore and travel straight to the Terminus. From there, it will proceed up Gallweys Hill, up Newtown Hill, and on to the Outer Ring Road past the Golf Club and Crobally Heights.
The new route will no longer serve Holy Cross Church or the Summerhill Centre adjacent to Tesco supermarket.
The revised 360A bus route will take in Crobally Heights, Ard na Groi, Monvoy Valley, Glenview, Summerhill, Priests Road and Church Road. From the Terminus, it will then serve Bayview, Riverstown, Somerville, and Pickardstown.
As previously reported, the 360A bus will no longer serve the Whitfield region, or the factories along the Cork Road.
Local Independent TD, Matt Shanahan has issued a statement in response to the volume of calls he says he has received as a result of the route changes.
In his statement, he says: "I have taken the decision to formally write to NTA, Bus Eireann, and Waterford City Council requesting an immediate return of 360A stops to UPMC Whitfield Hospital, Waterford Industrial Estate, and SETU main Cork Road entrance."
