There is some good news for swimmers in Waterford this morning.
Waterford Council has announced that bathing prohibitions at several beaches have been lifted with immediate effect.
The beaches are Bonmahon, Tramore Beach, the two strands in Dunmore, Ardmore, Boatstrand and Newtown.
The restrictions were put in place following concerns over water quality after the bad weather.
However, swimming is still not recommended at Stradbally, Tramore Pier and Baile na nGaul.
