
Some businesses in Waterford have had to close after a burst water main knocked out water supplies in some parts of the City Centre.
The Council says it could be late tonight before supplies are returned to some areas.
Number 9 Restaurant in Barronstrand Street closed at 1pm this afternoon.
Carters Cafe have had to use bottled water to make their hot drinks in an effort to remain open.
The Granville Hotel on the Quay is also keeping their doors open. Waterford City Fire Service have come to their aid filling their water tanks.

However Everett’s Restaurant in High Street have had to close tonight.
Owner Peter Everett says it was a difficult decision. He says Saturday is their busiest night.

Waterford Council says, Major Burst Water Main in the City Centre. Crews are onsite at the moment. There is no estimated time when the service will be back. Customers will have discolouration of water when the repair is finally completed
