
Daft.ie’s latest rental report shows that rents in Ireland have now increased for the eighteenth consecutive quarter.
In Waterford City, average rents have risen by 12.5% over the past year, reaching €1,818. Across the rest of the county, rents were 8.2% higher in the second quarter of 2025 compared to the same period last year, with the average rent now standing at €1,720. This figure is 77% higher than at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Limerick recorded the sharpest increase, with rents jumping by 14.9% year-on-year.
Nationwide, just under 2,300 homes were available to rent on August 1st, underscoring the ongoing shortage in supply.
