The HSE says it is making 'every effort' to maintain registry office services across the region.
It follows the temporary closure of the civil registration office in Dungarvan.
The HSE have outlined that there are currently staffing difficulties within the service, which oversees the registration of all births, deaths and marriages in the country.
As a result, the Dungarvan office has been temporarily closed while the Waterford City service has been reduced to three days a week.
The HSE have advised that offices in Clonmel, Carrick, Kilkenny, Carlow, Tipperary and Wexford remain open as normal.
It added that marriage services previously confirmed for both Waterford City and Dungarvan would be honoured by the HSE.
The HSE has apologised for the inconvenience amid efforts to address the situation and re-open as staffing levels allow.
