The weather warning for Waterford has now been upgraded to orange.

Met Éireann’s advisory says that there will be significant accumulations of rainfall tonight, following on from the heavy rain that’s been experienced here all afternoon.

Status Orange – Rain warning for Waterford, Wexford, Wicklow

Following recent heavy rain today, there will be additional significant accumulations of rainfall this evening (Wednesday) and overnight with flooding in places.https://t.co/Xg3aMJlyuS

The warning is in effect until 6am tomorrow and also covers Wexford and Wicklow.

Many other counties are under a yellow warning.
