It's reported Public servants who earn over €150,000 are set to receive pay increases of up to 15 per cent.
Consultants, senior civil servants and judges are among those who'll have their earnings restored to pre-recession levels next month.
The restoration of pay for these top earning public servants is expected to cost the state 30 million euro for this year alone.
The Government had initially hoped the pay increase for the top earning public servants could be postponed. However, they were left with no choice but to proceed with the original date planned of July 1st after reportedly receiving legal advice.
The Irish Times reports they were advised a delay was not possible by amending currently legislation, or introducing further legislation.
Around 4,000 public servants are expected to see increases in their wages from next week, which's expected to result in a strong backlash among the opposition
