Two men have been arrested after 23,000 euro worth of drugs were seized in Waterford.
A car was stopped and searched last night at around 11.40pm at St Johns Park in the city.
Alprazolam tablets used to treat anxiety were found. The drug is sold under the brand name Xanax.
Two men, a teenager and one aged in his late 30s were arrested and are being detained at Waterford Garda Station.
Gardaí in Waterford seized a large quantity of prescription drugs while conducting patrols in St. John’s Park last night. The tablets have an estimated street value of €23,000. Two people have been arrested in relation to this seizure. pic.twitter.com/SGqNDJwoxt
