The Portlaw / Kilmacthomas local electoral area has the highest incidence rate of Covid-19 in Ireland.
Latest figures show that 411 cases were recorded locally from November 23rd up to Monday December 6th.
The incidence rate now lies at 2,400.1 per 100,000 people, equating to roughly 1 in 42 people in the area contracting Covid.
Those figures represent a 17% rise on last week's, when the area had the third highest infection rate in the country.
Case figures have risen in every part of Waterford except for Tramore / Waterford City West.
The next-worst affected area is Waterford City South.
381 cases were confirmed to give an incidence rate of 1,695.1 - significantly above the then national average of 1,355.1 - and a rise of 20% in the past seven days.
Dungarvan also has a rate higher than the then average, as does Lismore.
291 cases have been detected in Dungarvan which is up 17 (6%) - and the incidence rate there is 1,419.7.
Lismore has seen the biggest spike in positive cases as they have risen by 40% from 106 to 148. The rate locally is currently 1,380.1.
Tramore / Waterford City West and Waterford City East are the two areas locally which have rates below the national average.
Tramore / Waterford City West was the only LEA in Waterford where cases fell in the two weeks up to Monday.
Cases are down slightly (3.6%) from 276 to 266. The incidence rate in Tramore / City West is 1,189 per 100,000 people.
The lowest incidence rate locally is in City East.
Despite an 8% rise in cases up to 239, the incidence rate remains the lowest in Waterford at 1,113.7.
Waterford has the eighth highest incidence rate in Ireland - with the highest in Carlow and the lowest in Leitrim.
Manorhamilton in Leitrim is the LEA with the lowest rate in the country, at 388.1 per 100,000 of population.
The rate in Portlaw / Kilmacthomas is currently six times higher than this.
