Conditional planning permission has been granted for a 74-unit housing development at Knockboy on the Dunmore Road in Waterford City.
The large-scale development was previously appealed by several locals.
On the orders of An Bord Pleanala, permission has been granted for this development, subject to 25 revised conditions. It will consist of 54 three-bedroom homes and 20 four-bedroom homes.
Three two-story blocks accommodating 16 mews dwellings are also planned. The construction of a childcare facility is also included within the plans.
Plans also include provisions for new parking spaces, a playground, a play space, and a BBQ area, as well as a new entrance off the Dunmore Road.
