Waterford City and County Council has granted conditional planning permission for the construction of purpose built student accommodation in Waterford City.
Earlier this year, Noel Frisby Construction Limited submitted an application to Waterford Council for the construction of 582 student bed spaces in 85 apartments across four blocks near SETU.
The site is located at Kilbarry Drive, Ballybeg Drive and the Cork Road.
The apartments range in size from five bed to eight bed and range in height from four to six storey. Also included in the plans are various student amenity facilities including a retail and cafe unit.
The Large Scale Residential Development has been granted conditional planning permission, subject to 27 conditions.
