Permission sought to commence Phase Two of large Tramore estate

Permission has been sought for Phase Two of a large scale residential development in Tramore by Fewer Harrington and Partners.

The Strandhill housing development commenced Phase One in 2022 opposite the racecourse in Tramore.

Permission has now been sought for the commencement of Phase Two, which consists of 70 residential homes.

The intended development will consist of 14 2-storey 4-bed houses, 28 2-storey 3-bed houses, 4 two-storey terraced houses, 2 four-bed detached houses, and one 4-storey split level apartment block consisting of 22 apartments.

Plans also request permission for new pedestrian access routes, and internal roadways to connect to Phase One of the development.

The overall development including all phases consists of 91 residential units and a creche building.

The development has been a controversial talking point in the town of Tramore due to the close proximity of parking spaces to the road.

Submissions regarding the development can be made to the planning department of Waterford Council within the next five weeks.
